I had two questions which I'd like to answer. But before that,I'd like to say that posts were about the liars, whom we know, not strangers. Therefore it would be easier to detect lye, when a person you know behaves unusually, because you are familiar with that person and know their habits, tastes, way of talking etc.Detecting lye through nonverbal communication is the key, although words themselves matter. You should observe whether posture and gestures of the person match with the talk.Be belingual, for a change...
Q:What about body language that tells you they are lying to you...but don't want to be lying to you? Is there such a thing?
A:It's very important to look out for not just one clue, but overall body language. If they touched their nose it might be they are trying to hide smth or it might be they indeed needed to scratch it.But if there are few other things that you notice in their behavior, like they escape looking in your eyes (one of the most important),use inproper order of words, trying to avoid the topic or any other strange behavior, there is great chance they are lying.
Q:Can you tell if a person is lying to you consciously (thinking about their lies as they talk to you) or not?
A:If the person prepaired him/herself in advance and knows at least something about body language, then it'll be a tough task,at least for me.If you still suspect,I'd suggest you to persist.Use different methods I suggested before.Eventually time of the truth will come as they can't think just about this lie, they have other problems as well.
There are virtuos people that can masque their lye as it is truth.I knew such a person. With time I could distinguish when it went faulse, but probably far not all times. Now I'm just taking baby steps in learning body language. It's very interesting field to explore for me.I'm learning while I'm teaching.
In nearest posts I'll cover how to destinguish if a stranger is lying to you.
Meantime if you have any questions, for God sake, ask .This will give me a clue what's of interest to you and how this can help you in your business.
Speak to you soon

Cat's Nonverbal Body Language
Our body tells more than words.About 55-60% of communication is nonverbal (what body says through gestures and positions). This is all true for human body language. And what about animal world? How do animals communicate with each other and humanbeings?Let's take just mammals,as it's easier to follow them, than it is crabs or snakes let say.How do mammals express themselves and how we can interpret their behavior.
For simplicity let's take cats.It seems like cats,as humans, have different characters and their mood can easily change as well.So how do they express their feelings?
Cat's tail can probably tell about its owner more than anything else alltogether.A high positioned tail shows that cat is happy or that it greets alike it or a human. The lower the position of tail - the less happy cat you see, with it being completely dissatisfied, when tail is very low.A tail held high can show not only happiness, though. If high positioned tail is also twitching strongly - it indicates that cat is displeased with something, while the light twitches with just the tip of the tail means that cat is hunting. But cats may also twitch their tail when they are playing. When cat is scared,it may puff up the tail and its hair along the back stand straight up.When cat meets an enemy or a competitor it usually turns its body sideways in order to appear bigger and more threatening, and again its hair along the back stand straight up and usually, all this, is supported by showing all sharp teeth and voicing out wild noises.
Cats like to lick. They lick, naturally, themselves in order to stay clean. But this is also a body language as they lick each other and humans to show their love and care.Another gesture of friendliness is touching noses and rubbing their faces along owner's cheek. They may rub against something to mark their territory as well as urinate it.A good sign of satisfaction and happiness is purring, they may also close their eyes at such moments.
So,cat's body language can reveal a lot about them.Interpreting cat's body language correctly may help its owner to establish a strong nonveral communication with a pet.In this case words doesn't matter.

Decoding Body Signals
So,you suspect someone is not honest with you and you want to know the truth.
There are few ways to do that...
-You can ask directly without any prewarming.Better still, choose the moment they least expect.
There is a huge chance they'd find themselves at a loss and either confess or delay with the answer. If latter is the case, watch closely their facial expression. While they are making up smth in their mind being scilent, their body language would tell you everything.
-You can also lead your conversation to the topic YOU want to disscuss and then just use a chain of questions giving them less and less chance to escape.
-You may prefer this way.Transfer your situation into third party.Just take any of your acquaintances and tell that such and such did this and that and how strongly you personaly disapprove such behavior or action. Then ask their opinion.Again look for nonverbal signs as well as words and voice (intonation, volume etc).
Give them a hint that you know smth.Start from far away, getting it closer and closer. All this time concenrate on decoding their body movements and facial expression.
But don't just observe them.Use nonverbal communication as well.Your body movements can help you way better than you imagine. So what you can do?
-Try to always face them and make as much eye contact as you can.
-Very powerful position - is standing position.Stand straight (so no slouching)
-Use your hands to emphasize your words
-Don't use the phrases that would lead them to think that you hesitate or are not sure.
If they are still hard to crack, you can suggest a carrot and stick policy.Tell what they will gain by telling the truth and what will lose by continuing to lie.Said - done.Do what you promised.
I'm sure there are some other ways to make a liar to confess. Please, feel free to share your ideas with me.
